The Seattle Seahawks are in the NFC Championship and are going up against the Los Angeles Rams for a chance to go to the Super Bowl.

For the Seahawks, there's nothing more important than this game. But that doesn't mean preparing for the future should be completely ignored. This offseason, the Seahawks will have a big decision to make with Kenneth Walker.

According to Spotrac.com, Walker received a $33 million contract projection, which is significant news for the Seahawks. Thanks to Zach Charbonnet's season-ending ACL tear, Walker's return to Seattle is a much more relevant issue than before.

Seahawks get $33M contract projection on Kenneth Walker amid Zach Charbonnet uncertainty

Spotrac's Market Value has Walker projected to land a $33,591,380 contract this offseason over four years.

While he's not the highest projected deal for a running back, behind players like Chase Brown, D'Andre Swift, Breece Hall, and Devon Achane, this projected contract is a very noteworthy one for the Seahawks.

Charbonnet might not be able to play right away in 2026, and if he's missing time, then the Seahawks wouldn't have a running back ready to go on the roster.

Walker is a free agent, and the rest of the running back room are backups or practice squad players. Adding a running back is a priority for the Seahawks this offseason, and bringing Walker back makes too much sense.

While this $33 million deal wouldn't be cheap, with the projected contract lasting four years and around $8.4 million per year, it's a very reasonable deal for the Seahawks.

This season, Walker had 1,027 rushing yards with five touchdowns on 221 attempts. It's not his best season, but in a split backfield with Charbonnet, it's an impressive year for the 25-year-old running back.

His playoff performance against the San Francisco 49ers, 116 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 19 attempts, with 29 receiving yards on three catches, should bolster his market this offseason.

The value that Walker provides to the Seahawks is worth the $33 million projected deal from Spotrac.com. He's a great running back and is a very important offseason decision for the Seahawks following Charbonnet's injury.
