Sam Darnold's revitalized NFL career has shone brightly in the last two seasons, first for the Minnesota Vikings and now for the Seattle Seahawks.
That is, except against one team: the Los Angeles Rams.
Darnold and the Seahawks take on the Rams on Thursday Night Football, and if recent history is any indication, it could get ugly.
He has played three games against the Rams since the start of the 2024 season, and they've all been nightmares.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler shared these Darnold stats against the Rams in the last two seasons:
- 0-3 record
- 34.0 QBR
- 7.0 yards per attempt
- 3 TDs
- 5 INTs
That includes a one-sided playoff elimination to end his Vikings tenure.
Darnold's stats against all other teams in the last two seasons, via Fowler, are so much better:
- 25-4 record
- 60.0 QBR
- 8.4 yards per attempt
- 55 TDs
- 19 INTs

Darnold needs to envision those other guys in different uniforms or something.
Clearly, the Rams are talented, and they have a number of defensive playmakers. Seattle needs Darnold to find a way to overcome that on Thursday night to keep their chances of winning the division alive.
