Last week, the Seattle Seahawks got their biggest win of the season with a win over their division rival, the Los Angeles Rams, in an overtime thriller on 'Thursday Night Football' with a walk-off two-point conversion.
Although the win was huge for the team, it puts them in firm control of home-field advantage and the playoffs running through Lumen Field; not everything from that game was good news for the Hawks.
After the game, it was announced that linebacker Derick Hall had been suspended for one game after being accused of intentionally stepping on Rams guard Kevin Dotson. Hall attempted to appeal the decision after it became clear that the incident could be seen as accidental to some, but the suspension was upheld.
Even though the result of the situation was unfortunate, as it resulted in Dotson suffering a sprained right ankle and having to be carted off the field, it should be looked upon as a wasted appeal, because it does not look as if Hall was intending to injure Dotson purposely.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald would agree with that statement, and he made it clear how he feels about the suspension being upheld when asked about the situation during a media session on Wednesday.
"We accept the decision, even if we don't agree with it. I refuse to believe there was ill intent," Macdonald declared in the press conference.
Filling the void at outside linebacker could be tough, as they have a challenging road game in Week 17 against the Carolina Panthers. He has been a key member of the defensive rotation, playing the majority of snaps whenever he is available.
