Today, the Seattle Seahawks faced the Indianapolis Colts in a game that, 2-3 weeks ago, would've been billed as one of the best games of the weekend.

Instead, thanks to a torn Achilles suffered by Colts QB Daniel Jones, this game was turned into a circus side show thanks to Indianapolis' signing of 44-year-old Philip Rivers. Bringing Rivers out of retirement dominated headlines coming into today.

The Seahawks were expected to win this game handily, but that was far from the case today. It was a tight game all day that almost resulted in a loss. If it weren't for Jason Myers, we'd be having much more uncomfortable conversations about this team.

Myers not only came up as the hero in the game's biggest moment, but also set a Seattle Seahawks franchise record in the process.

Myers hits game-winning FG and breaks Seahawks kicking record

In a game they absolutely needed to win, seemingly everyone except Jason Myers and a few defensive players didn't get the memo.

This was a game that should not have been close, yet Seattle found itself in a dog fight with a 44-year-old. Luckily, Jason Myers rose to the moment today and picked up the offensive slack.

Myers not only hit the 56-yard FG to win the game, but also hit five more FGs over the course of the day, giving him the Seattle Seahawks franchise record for most FGs in a game with six.

Myers hit from 47, 52, 46, 32, 30, and lastly 56 to clinch the victory.

Myers has been stellar for Seattle all season. He's recently coming off winning the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month award, and is showing no signs of slowing down heading towards the playoffs.

If the Seahawks look to make any noise once they reach the playoffs, though, they'll certainly have to look a lot better than they did today.
