The Seattle Seahawks won't have the services of left tackle Charless Cross for what is the most important game of their season when they take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16.

Cross sustained a hamstring injury in Week 15 and did not take part in practice this week before being ruled out on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for the Seahawks, it looks like Cross is going to miss multiple games with his injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who reports that Cross is expected to miss two to four weeks with his hamstring issue.

"[Charles Cross] has a 2-4 week injury, which means he's back for the playoffs, at least," Rapoport said.

The good news is, the Seahawks won't have any issues getting to the playoffs without Cross on the field.

But his absence obviously hurts the Seahawks' offense and, in turn, the chances of winning the NFC West and No. 1 seed in the conference.

The Seahawks will start Josh Jones in Cross' place.

Jones hasn't seen much run this season with just 56 snaps played, but he did get a lot of first-team reps during the offseason as Cross was recovering from surgery.

In the snaps he has played, Jones hasn't surrendered a sack or pressure while posting Pro Football Focus grades of 78.5 in pass-blocking and 59.7 in run-blocking.

The Seahawks could certainly do much worse in a replacement for the injured Cross, but that doesn't erase the fact that the offensive line won't be operating at its best without its starting left tackle.
