The San Francisco 49ers picked up their 11th victory of the season, defeating the Indianapolis Colts on Monday to wrap up Week 16 in the NFL.
San Francisco's offense was nearly unstoppable tonight, as quarterback Brock Purdy tossed five touchdown passes and tight end George Kittle tallied 115 yards and one touchdown, though the star playmaker did leave the game in the third quarter with a knee injury and didn't return.
After their win in primetime, the 49ers moved to 11-4, and are still in the NFC West race.
NFC West standings
1. Seattle Seahawks (12-3)
2. San Francisco 49ers (11-4)
3. Los Angeles Rams (11-4)
4. Arizona Cardinals (3-12)
San Francisco leapfrogged Los Angeles in the division with their victory in Week 16 against Indianapolis, as the 49ers possess the better division record than the Rams. Both teams split in the regular season.
To take first place from the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco will need to win out, including Week 18 against Seattle.
NFC playoff picture
The 49ers moved up one spot in the NFC to No.5. As stated above, Kyle Shanahan's squad will need to be perfect to end the regular season to win the division, but also the top seed.
San Francisco already clinched a playoff spot on Sunday with the Detroit Lions' loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
