The San Francisco 49ers have found a way to stay on top of the NFC West through seven weeks of the NFL season despite several injuries. Most notably, the 49ers are without Fred Warner and Nick Bosa for the remainder of the season.

Because of this, San Francisco has been labeled a team to watch at the trade deadline to make a move for an edge rusher. Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated labeled Trey Hendrickson of the Cincinnati Bengals as a name to watch, as well as four other names that could be headed to the Bay Area.

"It’s worth calling the Dolphins (Bradley Chubb, Jaelen Phillips), Jets (Jermaine Johnson) and Titans (Arden Key), too, with Key being an intriguing possibility because of his experience in San Francisco, and affordability, both in money and trade return," Breer writes. "However, he’s currently battling a quad injury."

The 49ers have the Houston Texans next on the schedule, where they should be able to get after C.J. Stroud and take advantage of a poor Texans offensive line.
