Trent Williams injury update: What 49ers' roster move means for LT's Week 18 status image

The San Francisco 49ers have made a pair of roster moves before their Week 18 game against the Seattle Seahawks and one of them is bad news for left tackle Trent Williams.

The Niners announced that they have elevated two players from the practice squad for the winner-take-all contest, including offensive tackle Brandon Parker and linebacker Eric Kendricks.

The former move is an indication that the 49ers do not expect Williams to play on Saturday night.

Williams is listed as questionable to play due to a hamstring injury that forced his early exit from the Week 17 win over the Chicago Bears.

Williams did not practice at all this week, but the Niners left the light on for him just in case he felt better on gameday.

While it remains unlikely that Williams will play in the season finale, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Saturday morning that Williams is expected to be ready to go for the playoffs, which could begin next week or the week after depending on if the Niners can take care of business on Saturday night.
