The San Francisco 49ers travel to Lumen Field for their third and final matchup against NFC West division rival, the Seattle Seahawks, to move one step closer to the big game.
The 49ers have gone on a huge run this season without some of their best players on both offense and defense being available due to injury, and second-year wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is one of them.
Pearsall has shown the potential to be a top receiver on a winning team, but his health has been the main thing preventing him from doing so. However, the former Florida Gator's availability may not be an issue on Saturday, based on his recent Instagram post.
On Saturday afternoon, Pearsall posted a message promoting the divisional round matchup with yellow and red heart emojis, which has been seen as a strong indicator that the receiver will play.
If Pearsall does play for San Francisco, it will be huge for the Niners' offense, which will be without All-Pro George Kittle, who suffered a torn Achilles in the wild-card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles last week, meaning Pearsall could get way more looks in the passing game along with the 49ers' other weapons, such as Jauan Jennings and Christian McCaffrey.
In two fewer games, Pearsall had over 100 more receiving yards than last season, with 528 in only nine regular-season games. Although he didn't have a touchdown, the young receiver was top 15 in the league in average yards per reception at 14.7.
While Pearsall is still listed as questionable, Niners fans have to feel great about the chances of seeing a young receiver with star potential help his team reach the NFC championship game.
