Reports have come out that Brandon Aiyuk likely won't be a member of the San Francisco 49ers long-term.
Reports have indicated that Aiyuk’s contract was even voided, a situation that nobody expected to happen.
After a strange contract situation, eventually getting paid, Aiyuk seemed to be somewhat happy. However, that obviously hasn't been the case, whether it be from a front office perspective or just with the team.
Throughout the 2025 season, Aiyuk still hasn’t played in a game, despite reports indicating that the 49ers are committed to him being on the roster throughout the remainder of the year and helping out.
With the expectation of him leaving at some point over the next few months, there should be many teams interested, and CBS Sports recently linked him to the Buffalo Bills.
“The Bills have struggled to find a top wide receiver to pair with Josh Allen ever since they traded Stefon Diggs after the 2023 season,” Zachary Pereles wrote. “Last year’s second-round pick, Keon Coleman, has been a healthy scratch each of the last two weeks, and in Week 12’s loss to the Texans, no Buffalo wide receiver could do much downfield.
“The Bills are very much in their Super Bowl window, and Aiyuk could be a strong fit in what has been a major team need.”
Josh Allen and the Bills have been looking for a star wide receiver ever since losing Stefon Diggs.
Throughout parts of Aiyuk's career, he's proven that he can be very good, but he also hasn't played a game since 2024, and he only appeared in seven games that season.
In 2023, however, he was one of the better wide receivers in the NFL, finishing with 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns.
Aiyuk also averaged a ridiculous 17.9 yards per catch that season.
