After not having superstar tight end George Kittle in Week 17 due to injury, the San Francisco 49ers are hoping to get him back for a hugely important Week 18 battle against the Seattle Seahawks.
Kittle didn't play last week due to a hamstring injury that forced his early exit from the Week 16 contest, but he showed clear progress this week after turning in three limited practices following a week of zero participation.
Despite that upgrade in participation, Kittle has still drawn the questionable tag for Week 18. Here's what we know about his chances of suiting up.
Is George Kittle playing tonight?
According to ESPN's Nick Wagoner, Kittle "absolutely" expects to play on Saturday night against the Seahawks.
This is what Kittle said when asked about how he's feeling.
"Fabulous. Great position for Saturday night to punch a one seed. So just with that, I'm doing fantastic," Kittle said.
We'll get final confirmation on Kittle's status an hour and a half before the Seahawks and 49ers kick off on Saturday night.
Having Kittle is obviously huge for the Niners, who can lock up the NFC West and No. 1 seed in the conference with a win over the Seahawks in Week 18.
Kittle has missed a handful of games this season, but he remains one of the elite tight ends in the NFL when on the field.
The seven-time Pro Bowler has 599 yards and seven touchdowns in the 10 games he has played in this season. If you take his 59.9 yards per contest and extrapolate that over 17 games, Kittle would have surpassed 1,000 yards in 2025.
