The San Francisco 49ers are signing former Arizona Cardinals captain Kyzir White, per Jordan Schultz.
"The 49ers are bolstering their LB group ahead of the playoffs, agreeing to a deal with veteran LB Kyzir White," Schultz reports on X. "San Fran has dealt with a multitude of LB injuries this season."
White was drafted in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Chargers out of West Virginia. He signed with the Eagles in 2022, spending one season in Philadelphia. In 2023, he joined the Cardinals and appeared in all 17 games in 2024. He's appeared in one game this season with the Tennessee Titans.
The 49ers have been bitten hard by the injury bug on defense this season. Both Nick Bosa and Fred Warner have been lost for the season to injuries. White brings a veteran presence to the defense, and has experience with the Eagles that will also be valuable.
