Throughout the entire league, the San Francisco 49ers may have been dealt the worst when it comes to injuries in 2025.
Setbacks have plagued the team through its first 10 games, including a significant absence from franchise quarterback Brock Purdy and multiple season-ending injuries on defense.
After the 49ers lost to a Los Angeles Rams team that's been heating up in recent weeks, head coach Kyle Shanahan provided an uplifting update to wide receiver Ricky Pearsall.
Shanahan: Ricky Pearsall expected to return to practice this week
Second-year wideout Ricky Pearsall hasn't played since Week 4 after sustaining a PCL injury in his right knee. San Francisco stayed optimistic with the receiver, never placing him on injured reserve.
On Monday, Kyle Shanahan gave an update on Pearsall, saying that he's expected to return to practice this week.
"Hopefully the next two days go good and if they do, he'll be back out there," Shanahan said. "He had a good weekend."
This is awesome news for the 49ers, as they are still awaiting Brandon Aiyuk to return from the torn ACL he suffered last season, and Jauan Jennings has been playing through multiple setbacks of his own this season.
