"Finally, the People's Tight End has come back to San Francisco!"

Say that in your best Dwayne Johnson impression, but all jokes aside, amidst the injury bug that has stricken the San Francisco 49ers, some positivity has come to the surface in the form of one of the Niners most elite pieces of offense.

Tight end George Kittle, who has missed all but one game in the 2025 campaign so far.

Kittle Set To Return To Practice For the Team

In a report by ESPN's Nick Wagoner, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan reported that the two-time first-team All-Pro tight end would be returning to practice this upcoming week as the team prepares for a Sunday night matchup with the Atlanta Falcons

Kittle has been on injured reserve since Week 1, where he recorded four receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown, at least giving his fantasy football owners something to smile about before disappearing for the next month.

The news about Kittle comes just one day after the 49ers lost their best defensive player, linebacker Fred Warner, for the season due to an ankle injury in yesterday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kittle, entering his ninth year as a pro out of the University of Iowa, is a six-time Pro Bowler and has been named as either a first or second-team All-Pro in all but three of his pro seasons.
