The San Francisco 49ers lost in a brutal 13-3 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, losing their chance at the NFC's number 1 seed and a first-round bye.
Amid the loss, the 49ers' offense was completely shut down by Seattle. George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, and Jauan Jennings didn't do much of anything. For individual success, this performance might hurt Jennings more than the others.
He's a free agent after this season, and he's aiming for a big, long-term deal. Austin Gayle of The Ringer projects that Jennings will get his wish, with a $60 million contract potential on the horizon for the 28-year-old WR.
Jauan Jennings receives $60M contract projection
"Jakobi Meyers, a 29-year-old career slot receiver with great hands, signed a three-year, $60 million extension with the Jaguars in December," Gayle writes. "Jennings's asking price should start there."
Negotiating a contract can always be challenging in the offseason, but thanks to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Jakoi Meyers, Jennings has a starting point.
Meyers signed a three-year, $60 million contract to stay in Jacksonville. With Jennings, a wide receiver of similar talents, he should very easily reach the $60 million mark Meyers got from the Jaguars.
Meyers has 70 receptions for 791 yards and three touchdowns this season, with 37 catches, 439 yards, and all three TDs coming with the Jaguars after a mid-season trade from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jennings this season has 55 catches for 643 yards and nine touchdowns. He's a great redzone threat at 6'3'', and would be more than worth the $60 million spent on Meyers.
A team like the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, or Tennessee Titans, thanks to their rookie quarterbacks or open books, could very easily make Jennings fit on their books on a $60 million or more deal.
While the 49ers might find keeping him a challenge, thanks to Brandon Aiyuk's contract coming off the books, they would have some extra money to try and retain the 7th-round draft pick from 2020.
