The Pittsburgh Steelers are one-and-done in the playoffs once again and now the team will turn its attention to the offseason, when Pittsburgh will have to make a decision on the future of head coach Mike Tomlin.

It's fair to question Tomlin's future, as the Steelers have been stuck in neutral for several years now and the team's playoff losing streak is now up to seven.

Making that streak look even worse is the fact that the Steelers have lost six of those seven games by double-digits, and they have been outscored 224-137.

Naturally, Tomlin was asked about his future with the Steelers after the game, but the Steelers head coach was not ready to talk about that.

"I'm not even in that mindset as I sit here tonight. I'm more in the mindset of what transpired in this stadium and certainly what we did and didn't do," Tomlin said.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers are not expected to fire Tomlin, and the only way he isn't in Pittsburgh in 2026 is if he chooses to leave.

Tomlin has one more year on his contract, plus an option for 2027 that the Steelers have to make a decision on by March.

It isn't crazy to think Tomlin could look for a change of scenery in 2026 after several years of failure in Pittsburgh.

If he does leave, Tomlin will have options, whether that be coaching another team or even taking a television gig.

We should know soon enough what the future holds for Tomlin.
