The Steelers might just be signing free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers after all.

That's how one NFL analyst is reading into things after Rodgers' visit to Pittsburgh on Friday.

Warren Sharp pointed out that a year ago, Russell Wilson met with the Steelers for six hours on a Friday in March. That Sunday, Wilson signed with Pittsburgh.

This Friday in March, Rodgers met with the Steelers for six hours.

Could a signing be coming Sunday?

It's no certainty, but Rodgers has given plenty of praise to the city of Pittsburgh and to head coach Mike Tomlin in the past.

To spend "about six hours," according to Adam Schefter, is a substantial commitment of time to seeing if something can be made to work out.

Schefter reported it was a "positive visit," and that the parties will keep in touch.

Many have pointed out that Rodgers seems in no rush, but even his mercurial self must know that getting a deal done sometime might be a positive for all involved.

And if this trend is right, set your alarms for Sunday, because Rodgers will soon be a Steeler.
