Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers reveals back injury, but there's a confusing twist image

Aaron Rodgers made things just a bit confusing on Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' 41-year old quarterback shared an injury issue in his time with reporters, but then he wasn't on the injury report.

To be clear, Rodgers was speaking about Sunday, justifying that he took a few too many sacks by revealing that his back had been bothering him, saying it had been "a little tight."

“I don’t think I was moving that well,” Rodgers said. “I think I ran kind of into at least one or two sacks, so I got to do a better job of using my legs. I might be old, but I still feel like I can move around pretty good, and I wasn’t moving the way I usually like to move.”

Rodgers wasn't on the Steelers' injury report on Wednesday, though, as Pittsburgh prepares to take on the Seattle Seahawks.

To be fair, it wouldn't be shocking if Rodgers had the occasional back issue after this long in the NFL.

It's just odd that he'd share such a problem but also have it not still be a problem, at least based on how the injury report sees it.

Rodgers did pretty much walk his way into a couple of sacks.

But when that wasn't happening, Rodgers put together a stellar performance. He threw four touchdowns in the 34-32 win over his former team, the Jets.

It was the 28th game in Rodgers' career in which he has thrown four touchdowns and no interceptions, which tied Tom Brady's NFL record in that stat.

If Rodgers stays healthy, he'll have a chance to move alone into first place in that impressive mark. His back just needs to stay young.
