The Pittsburgh Steelers will not have wide receiver Calvin Austin for the Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns, which led many to hope that we might see Roman Wilson get significant snaps.

However, that doesn't appear to be in the cards. Steelers insider Nick Farabaugh told 93.7 The Fan on Friday that veteran Scotty Miller is expected to get a bump with Austin out, not Wilson.

"Great Steelers insider [Nick Farabaugh] says on [93.7 The Fan] that Scotty Miller will start over Roman Wilson on Sunday. And will get more opportunities in the passing game than Wilson," Andrew Fillipponi revealed on X.

We are way past the point of this situation with Wilson being ridiculous.

The Steelers utilized a third-round pick on Wilson in 2024 but he has barely existed over a season-plus.

The Michigan product was injured in 2024 and only appeared in one game, where he saw just five offensive snaps.

Wilson has been healthy in 2025, but once again he's been on a milk carton. Wilson has played a grand total of just 44 snaps through four games and has been targeted just twice, turning those into one catch for seven yards.

It looked like Wilson might be moving in the direction of more playing time after he notched 22 snaps in Week 2, but since then he's been on the field for nine and three snaps, respectively, in the last two weeks.

For a team that was reportedly excited enough about Wilson entering the season to not add more help at wide receiver when it was clearly needed, that certainly has not shone through thus far in 2025.
