Aaron Rodgers began his free agency with multiple options. The Giants and Vikings soon went away.
Then the Saints popped up after Derek Carr was hurt. But they look off the board now, too, after taking Tyler Shough in the second round on Friday night during the NFL Draft.
That leaves one.
Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been linked the entire time. He's taken a visit there. He likes Mike Tomlin.
There's no other way for this to end, unless Rodgers retires.
It's not clear why it has been dragged out this long. Maybe Rodgers likes seeing all the stories being written about him.
Regardless, it's been a long, drawn-out saga that has about reached its ending.
The Steelers don't want to start Mason Rudolph or Skylar Thompson in pursuit of a Super Bowl.

Rodgers is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.
They're the right match at the right time.
They're the last pair left without a dance partner.
Could another team emerge late, maybe after a surprise injury? Sure.
But it'd be best for everyone for Rodgers to land at his new home and get things rolling in terms of meeting his new teammates and trying to put the best foot forward.
The Steelers have big goals, as always. They probably need Rodgers to meet them. And at this point, Rodgers needs the Steelers, too.
