The Pittsburgh Steelers added a new wide receiver this past week when the team signed veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad.
The signing came on the same week the as the trade deadline, when the Steelers were widely expected to add a wide receiver thanks to their clear need for an upgrade behind DK Metcalf.
However, the Steelers didn't end up coming away with one, but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Pittsburgh was in on a possible trade for at least two wide receivers, but both of them choose to go to different teams when given a choice, per reports.
So, will we see MVS make his Steelers debut in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers? Here's what we know.
Is Marquez Valdes-Scantling playing tonight?
No, Valdes-Scantling won't make his Steelers debut in Week 10, as the team did not elevate him from the practice squad ahead of kickoff on Sunday night.
The likely reason for that is MVS only had a handful of days to learn the playbook and probably needs more time to get acclimated as a result.
We'll see if Valdes-Scantling will be able to get in the Steelers' next came, which comes in Week 11 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Nov. 16.
