The Pittsburgh Steelers failed to trade for a wide receiver ahead of the trade deadline, but they did add one in free agency.
That addition came in the form of veteran wide receiver Marquez-Valdes Scantling, who was signed to the Steelers' practice squad after the trade deadline.
MVS has been with the Steelers for about a few weeks now, but he did not make his Steelers debut in Week 10.
Will MVS be on the field in Week 11? Here's what we know.
Is Marquez Valdes-Scantling playing today?
No, Valdes-Scantling won't be playing for the Steelers in Week 11 after the team did not elevate him from the practice squad on Saturday.
As much as the Steelers need more help at wide receiver, expectations for MVS should be tempered when he finally does take the field.
Valdes-Scantling has been on the decline for a few years now. Adding to that, he failed to stick with two wide receiver-needy teams in the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks before joining the Steelers, which is another bad sign.
That said, we would expect to see him play for the Steelers at some point, although it remains to be seen exactly when that will happen.
