TL;DR
- Kenneth Gainwell excelled in Week 11 after Jaylen Warren's ankle injury.
- Jaylen Warren is expected to play in Week 12 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- Aaron Rodgers' broken wrist makes his status uncertain for the Steelers' offense.
- Mason Rudolph would start if Aaron Rodgers is sidelined by his injury.
Kenneth Gainwell put together a massive game in Week 11.
That makes Jaylen Warren's injury status for Week 12 loom extra large, particularly for fantasy football managers trying to set their lineup while deciding on the Pittsburgh Steelers' running backs.
Gainwell took over and excelled after Warren exited last Sunday's game prematurely due to an ankle injury.
Beyond that, the Steelers face more significant injury concerns, particularly regarding Aaron Rodgers and his broken left wrist.
But the RB situation bears worth watching, too.
Will Jaylen Warren be active for this week's game?
Yes, Warren is supposed to play in Week 12.
Although he didn't practice on Wednesday, he was restricted on Thursday before being fully involved on Friday.
The Steelers didn't even give Warren an injury designation. He's all set.
Rodgers' status is highly uncertain, and his presence or absence significantly impacts the functionality of this Pittsburgh offense. Should Rodgers be sidelined, his backup, Mason Rudolph, will take the starting role.
However, at a minimum, the Steelers' starting quarterback on Sunday will be aware that their backfield will be at full capacity to support them.
