Jaylen Warren finally got the push to the No. 1 running back role for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season after serving as the complementary piece for Najee Harris in seasons past.
Warren entered Week 14 as the Steelers' leading rusher with 639 yards, although his usage has been frustrating, and fellow running back Kenneth Gainwell has no doubt taken touches away from him.
In the first half of the Week 14 game against the Baltimore Ravens, Warren is off to a very quiet start. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Jaylen Warren playing today?
Yes, Warren is active and healthy, he just didn't get many opportunities in the first half.
That's because the Steelers went pass heavy in the first half, with Aaron Rodgers throwing 20 passes and Pittsburgh only running the ball eight times.
And, in those eight carries, the Steelers have given two to Gainwell and one to rookie Kaleb Johnson.
It's clear the Steelers planned on a pass-heavy approach entering this game, so we'll see if that continues in the second half.
