DK Metcalf is facing a two-game suspension from the NFL after the Pittsburgh Steelers' WR shoved a Detroit Lions fan on Sunday.
Metcalf is appealing, but as of now, he'd be slated to miss Pittsburgh's final two games of the regular season.
There's also a cost to every suspension. A player loses out on each game check they would've received.

How much does DK Metcalf's suspension cost?
ESPN's Adam Schefter shared the dollar figure on X on Monday evening:
"DK Metcalf’s two-game suspension would cost him $277,778 per game, $555,556 total for the two games."
That $277,778 per game total is about $1,000 less than Philip Rivers is earning total to play four games for the Colts to end the regular season.
It's also the last year of Metcalf's rookie deal before his contract extension kicks in.
Metcalf is making $5 million in base salary this year. Next season, that jumps to $25 million. So if Metcalf served this same suspension a year from now, it would've been for more than $1 million a game.
It's not a small amount now, either, but given Metcalf has a nine-figure contract kicking in beginning with next season, he probably won't miss the cash all that much. It'll be more costly for the Steelers to not have him on the field as they try and surge to a division title and a playoff spot.
