Frustrated Aaron Rodgers has fiery response with F-bomb for question about Mike Tomlin image

Don't ask Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers another "f****** question" about Mike Tomlin's impact on him this past season.

No, seriously, don't.

Rodgers had quite the fiery response that included an F-bomb when asked how Tomlin has made an impact on him this season.

It wasn't because he was mad at Tomlin, but rather because he has been asked that question, or at least something similar to it, roughly one million times during the course of the season, and even in the postgame press conference on Monday following the Steelers' playoff loss to the Houston Texans.

But reporters asked him that question one-too-many times.

“I’ve talked extensively about how I feel about Mike," Rodgers said. "And I just did in that f****** answer. Thanks.”

Hey, at least he said thanks.

Rodgers ended his press conference on that answer, which was quite the mic drop. If that's his final press conference answer as a Steeler, it's quite the way to go out.

Before that, Rodgers went into detail in his defense of Tomlin against people who think he should be fired.

He even mentioned how ridiculous it was that his former head coach, Matt LaFleur, is considered to be on the hot seat with the Green Bay Packers.

"This league has changed a lot in 21 years. When you hear conversations about the 'Mike Tomlins' of the world, the 'Matt LaFleurs' of the world, those are just two that I played for," Rodgers said. "And when I first got in the league, there wouldn't be conversations about whether those guys were on the 'hot seat,'. But the way that the league is covered now, and the way that there's snap decisions, and a validity given to the 'Twitter experts' and all the experts on TV now... To me that's an absolute joke."

"Mike T. Has had more success than damn-near everybody in the league for the last 19, 20 years," Rodgers added. "More than that, when you have the right guy, and the culture is right, you don't think about making a change. But there's a lot of pressure that comes from the outside, and obviously that sways decisions from time-to-time. But it's not how I would do things, and not how they used to be."

The expectation is that Tomlin is not going to be fired and will be back, unless he doesn't want to be back.

So, for fans wanting someone to save the Steelers from Tomlin, they're going to have to hope that Tomlin saves the Steelers from himself.

"I'm not even in that mindset as I sit here tonight. I'm more in the mindset of what transpired in this stadium and certainly what we did and didn't do," Tomlin said of his future after the game.

As for Rodgers, he declined to discuss his future plans, whether that be returning to the Steelers, playing somewhere else, or retiring.

“I’m not going to make any emotional decision,” Rodgers said. “Disappointed, obviously. It was such a fun year. Lot of adversity, but a lot of fun. … It’s disappointing to be sitting here with the season over.”

We would expect a decision on Tomlin's future in the next few days, while it will probably be longer before we know what Rodgers plans to do.

But if Tomlin decides to leave, we would expect Rodgers to be playing elsewhere or retire in 2026.
