Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Chris Hoke was recently the victim of a car theft, but that's not even the craziest part of the story.

Hoke was a guest on "Pomp and Joe" and detailed how his Chrysler was stolen after two teenagers allegedly busted out the back passenger side window to get inside.

And, as it turns out, the vehicle was later involved in a high-speed chase that ended in a crash, totaling Hoke's vehicle.

“That was my Chrysler. Isn’t that crazy?” Hoke said. “My understanding is that two teenagers bashed in the back passenger side window. They used some kind of device to program a key to my car. I had a key with me. I didn’t know that was possible.

"I love that car," he added. "I’ve had it for about eight years. Ten years? It’s totaled. I’ll never get the value out of it that it was to me.”

According to law enforcement, the car was stolen from the Pittsburgh International Airport just after midnight on Sept. 9 and was one of two cars taken.

The chase started in Canfield and ended after the car hit a Highway Patrol cruiser on Shirley Road in Youngstown. The trooper inside the cruiser did not suffer a serious injury.

Both suspects have been charged with receiving stolen property, while one was hit with an additional charge of failure to comply and the other with possession of criminal tools.
