The Pittsburgh Steelers have one of the deepest tight ends rooms in the NFL with Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington and Pat Freiermuth.
And the Steelers don't waste any of them, either, as offensive coordinator Arthur Smith runs plenty of three-tight-end sets and keeps them all involved.
However, Washington and Smith haven't been involved early on in the Week 10 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Here's what's going on.
Is Darnell Washington playing tonight?
UPDATE: Washington reeled in his first catch for 15 yards on Pittsburgh's fourth offensive series of the game.
Yes, Washington is active and playing on Sunday night, he just hasn't been targeted yet. The Steelers' offense is off to a poor start over three drives, so nobody has been able to do much.
Washington also does a fair amount of blocking, so that will always limited his opportunities, at least a little bit.
Is Jonnu Smith playing tonight?
UPDATE: Smith nearly pulled in a sick catch on Pittsburgh's fourth drive of the game, but he couldn't secure the high pass from Rodgers.
Yes, Smith has been on the field for the Steelers on Sunday night, but Rodgers hasn't thrown him the football yet.
As previously mentioned, Pittsburgh's offense has been a mess over the team's first three series, so it's no surprise Smith is blanked currently.
