The Pittsburgh Steelers could have a pair of new wide receivers lining up on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
During this past week, the Steelers claimed former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen off waivers, adding him to a lackluster group that desperately needed more depth behind DK Metcalf.
Weeks before that addition, the Steelers added wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the practice squad, but he has yet to suit up for a game since then.
Here's what we know about Thielen's and MVS' chances of suiting up on Sunday against the Ravens.
Is Adam Thielen playing today?
We have not seen any confirmation that Thielen will definitely play, but we'd say there is a good chance he does.
Thielen has only had days to learn the Steelers' playbook, but we would guess an experienced vet like himself can pick up enough of it in that span to give it a go, especially for such an important game against the Ravens.
We would not, however, expect Thielen to play a full complement of snaps if he does suit up.
We'll get a definitive answer on Thielen's status when the Steelers drop their list of inactives at about 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday morning.
Is Marquez Valdes-Scantling playing today?
Again, no definitive answer here, but the Steelers did decide to elevate MVS from the practice squad for this game, marking the first time that has happened since he joined Pittsburgh.
Granted, that doesn't automatically mean MVS will be active, but it's certainly a good sign he will play.
