This ends up being a classic football choice.
Give the player some leeway, or make the move that protects the player. What's the right answer?
That's what the Pittsburgh Steelers have to decide Sunday with Aaron Rodgers.
The Steelers are taking on the Chicago Bears in Week 12, and Rodgers has a fractured left wrist.
Mason Rudolph would start if Rodgers doesn't.
Is Aaron Rodgers playing today?
It sounds like Rodgers' playing status will be decided pretty close to game time.
This is what ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday night:
"Aaron Rodgers has been pushing to play Sunday vs. The Bears, but Steelers doctors have been more cautious and guarded, per sources. If the decision is left to Rodgers, he will play, but the team has declined to provide hints as to its final decision."
Rodgers is pretty stubborn, so he might win out on this one.
He's also 24-5 in his career against the Bears, and although he said this week that wouldn't factor into his decision, there's also some positive vibes in general when Rodgers sees Chicago on the other side.
Keep an eye on this, because Rodgers' status could impact many things on Sunday.
