The 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame shortlist has some major NFL stars eligible for their shot at reaching Canton, and a former Philadelphia Eagles star could be a sneaky candidate to make the cut.

While former Eagles great Eric Allen is being inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame Class, electrifying running back LeSean McCoy will have his first chance to reach the prestigious club in one year's time.

McCoy only spent half of his NFL career in Philadelphia, but those six years gave Eagles fans a glimpse at what a superstar offense looked like when he was paired up with DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and quarterbacks Michael Vick and Nick Foles.

While the 2026 HOF class is loaded with big names like Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Phillip Rivers and Jason Witten, McCoy certainly deserves his flowers for a strong NFL career that featured six 1,000-yard seasons and a 2011 season that saw 'Shady' score 20 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns.

Even though the Eagles never made deep playoff runs during McCoy's time in Philly, the Pennsylvania native was truly an all-time legend with the organization and his spot in the HOF should be coming in the future, even if he has to wait a few years.
