A.J. Brown has been outspoken about his frustrations.
All season long, the Philadelphia Eagles' top wide receiver has found ways to express that he isn't happy with what feels like a reduced role.
That led many to wonder if Brown would be traded by the NFL's Nov. 4 deadline.
But Brown stayed put. And in reality, that makes sense.

Why didn't the Eagles trade A.J. Brown?
The Eagles were likely never going to trade Brown.
GM Howie Roseman spoke with reporters after the deadline explained why Brown wasn't moved.
"When you're trying to be a great team, it's hard to trade great players," Roseman said. "A.J. Brown is a great player. He wears the 'C' for a reason. He's an important part of this team, of this organization. He cares about winning. He cares about his teammates. I think that when you're a team like ours that's looking forward to the opportunity to compete for a championship, you just don't get rid of the guys like that. Feel very lucky to have him on our team and excited about the second half of the season with him."
The Eagles are trying to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
In essence, you don't make your team worse to try and do that.
Brown is too good to give up. He's one of the best trade acquisitions the Eagles have ever had. To give him up as a sell low would've been a tough move to sell to the rest of the roster.
And so Brown is still in town, trying to figure out how to make a difference while not getting too frustrated.
