The Philadelphia Eagles not too long ago employed the most accurate kicker in NFL history.
But they cut Cameron Dicker.
Now, Dicker gets to match up with the Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 14 as the placekicker for the Los Angeles Chargers.
Dicker enters the night having made 93.6% of his field goals, comfortably in first in NFL history ahead of Brandon Aubrey (90.4%).
He could've been doing this in Philly.

Why did the Eagles cut Cameron Dicker?
It was simple at the time. The Eagles were getting regular kicker Jake Elliott back from injury.
It didn't matter that Dicker had just made a game-winning field goal for the Eagles. Teams don't keep two kickers, and the reliable starter Elliott was always going to get his job back.
That was in 2022, a season that Dicker also was cut by the Los Angeles Rams and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Chargers were the beneficiary. When Dustin Hopkins was hurt for them later in the 2022 campaign, they brought the former Texas Longhorns star Dicker aboard.
And since then, Dicker the kicker hasn't gone anywhere. He's a guy who would never be pushed aside by an aspiring kicker like he once was.
It took a fourth opportunity before Dicker seized it. He hasn't looked back.
