The Philadelphia Eagles absolutely nailed the early rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. The Eagles entered that draft desperately needing to strength the secondary, and they did just that.

In the first round of the draft, the Eagles added cornerback Quinyon Mitchell and in the second round they selected slot cornerback Cooper DeJean. Together that cornerback duo has completely transformed Philadelphia’s defense under Vic Fangio.

Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean named first-team All-Pro

Now less than two years after they were drafted by the Eagles in consecutive rounds, they’ve both been named first-team All-Pro for the 2025 season. Mitchell was one of two cornerbacks named to the first team along with Derek Stingley Jr. Of the Houston Texans. DeJean filled the only spot for slot cornerbacks.

It’s been a while since the Eagles had a first-team All-Pro at the cornerback position, and now they have two of them. DeJean and Mitchell are the first Eagles corners to earn first-team All-Pro honors since Lito Sheppard in 2004.

After coming in together, it's fitting that Mitchell and DeJean get to experience this accolade together for the first time.

"It's cool to get that recognition alongside [Quinyon], obviously," DeJean said. "What he's done this year and our defense as a whole, just the way we play. Cause if our defense wasn't good, I don't think we'd be getting voted for that."

But, while the acknowledgement is nice, the duo knows that there's still plenty of work to do.

"We wanted to come here to Philly, make an impact on the city, on the team," Mitchell said of he and DeJean. "We just gotta keep our head down and keep working."

As long as they continue to put in the work, there should be more All-Pro selections in the future for both Mitchell and DeJean.
