Saquon Barkley gives an Eagles vibe check before 49ers clash image

All season long, the Philadelphia Eagles were accused of having bad vibes.

They were winning games, but winning ugly created narratives that made it seem as if they were losing. Nick Sirianni and Kevin Patullo were constantly questioned (and still are), while the relationship between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown created a lot of negative speculation once again.

Many felt a 2023-style collapse coming for Philadelphia. There was a scare, but the Eagles won the NFC East and clinched the conference’s third seed.

What are the vibes like heading into the first round for the Eagles? Let Saquon Barkley and every witness tell it.

“It was a loud, loose locker room today,” The Athletic’s Zach Berman reported after Thursday’s practice session. “Players were hanging around, enjoying each other's company.”

"Can you hear?" Saquon Barkley asked reporters.  "I think the vibes are great."

The Eagles are loose—and are doing it without the desperate “positive bunny” that was created weeks ago, and didn’t last more than seven days.

With most of the key players, including Barkley, getting a bye week of their own, the Eagles are well-rested and getting healthier ahead of their clash against the San Francisco 49ers.

This week, it’s win or go home. The Eagles are no strangers to the postseason spotlight, making two Super Bowl runs over the past three seasons. Soon, the NFL will see if the great vibes translate to the football field on Sunday, or if it’s just another fluke for a team that struggled to repeat as champs.
