The Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills all have a need at the cornerback position with the NFL trade deadline rapidly approaching.

Tre'Davious White's lackluster play this season is a major problem for Buffalo and there is no telling if rookie Maxwell Hairston will provide the relief the team needs after he recently returned from injured reserve.

In Philly, the Eagles don't have a reliable starter on the boundary opposite Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, as Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson have failed miserably in that role and Jakorian Bennett remains on injured reserve.

The Cowboys have a pair of concerns in their cornerbacks room, as Kaiir Elam has been a major disappointment and Trevon Diggs is now on injured reserve and it's unclear when he'll be back, if ever.

One potential option for all three teams is Las Vegas Raiders veteran cornerback Eric Stokes, who was recently mentioned in a trade rumor by Locked on Raiders host Q Myers.

“I do think that there’s a chance that we’ll see Darien Porter [get more playing time], because Kyu Blu Kelly has struggled. Eric Stokes has actually been quietly having a good season," Myers said. "Matter of fact, I’ve seen his name with some other teams out there saying, ‘Hey, you know what? That Eric Stokes is pretty good. Maybe we can call the Raiders and try to pick him up. Remember, he’s on a one-year deal."

A former first-round pick of the Green Bay Packers, Stokes did not pan out over his four seasons in Green Bay, which led to the Packers letting him walk in free agency during the offseason.

Stokes ultimately landed with the Raiders on a cheap one-year, $3.5 million deal and is having a very strong season that is reviving his career.

Through six games, Stokes is surrendering a completion rate of 45% and a passer rating of 61.0, both of which are career bests for him.

With the Raiders going nowhere and Stokes set to be a free agent in 2026, it makes sense to at least explore moving him to get more draft capital as Las Vegas looks to build up its lackluster roster.

On what could be a busy market, Stokes may garner an early Day 3 pick in a trade, or at least a Day 3 pick swap. That, combined with his cheap contract, makes him the perfect low-cost option, and that's especially true for the Bills, who have very limited cap space.

Seeing as how Stokes would amount to an upgrade for all three teams, the Bills, Cowboys and Eagles should at least put in a call to the Raiders.
