The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys have officially begun the 2025 NFL season, and there was drama before the first offensive snap.

During an injury timeout following the opening kickoff, Jalen Carter and Dak Prescott were exchanging words. Carter spit on Prescott and was immediately disqualified from the rest of the game.

The Eagles' defense is counting on Carter to make up for the loss of Milton Williams, but also to be a potential Defensive Player of the Year candidate. Now, their defense will be severely shorthanded for the remainder of the game.
