Earlier this week, the Philadelphia Eagles got good news regarding the future status of their offensive lineman, Tyler Steen. The veteran was not expected to face a suspension after engaging in a brawl against the Washington Commanders last Saturday.
However, the NFL still issued a punishment in the form of a fine. As expected, Steen will receive a bill in the mail. Unfortunately, he landed multiple violations.
How Much Will the NFL Fine Steen?
According to an official announcement from the league, Steen has landed two separate fines of $8,435.
The first fine is for unnecessary roughness/striking. The second is for unsportsmanlike conduct/swing. Steen was spotted swinging at multiple members of the Commanders last week, as the Eagles worked on closing out the game with a ticket to the playoffs, and a shirt and cap for winning the NFC East.

The Commanders Will See Multiple Fines
Steen isn’t alone in catching a fine for his involvement last week. Multiple members of the Commanders will land fines.
According to the league, Commanders safety Will Harris has been fined $11,593 for a facemask. The defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw has been fined $20,288 for unsportsmanlike conduct. The safety, Quan Martin, landed $11,572 for unnecessary roughness/striking, and the cornerback, Mike Sainristil, picked up $9,725 for unnecessary roughness/striking.
As much as the Eagles want to leave that brawl in the past, the Commanders seem to be keeping the incident tucked away in their thoughts as they circle the final game of the regular season on their calendar. Several members of Washington’s organization mentioned the early January rematch as something they look forward to when discussing last week’s main event.
First, the Eagles will focus on the Buffalo Bills. On Sunday afternoon, the Eagles will work on playoff seeding as they face an AFC contender.
