The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will square off in the first of two games on Saturday in Week 16.

The Commanders' season is already over. Washington was eliminated from playoff contention weeks ago and is only playing for pride and possible spoilers on Saturday.

Washington won't have the services of quarterback Jayden Daniels, who has been shut down for the rest of the 2025 season after aggravating his elbow injury in Week 14. Backup signal-caller Marcus Mariota will get the start instead.

The Eagles, meanwhile, have a chance to clinch the NFC East with a win over the Commanders. Philly snapped its three-game losing streak last week with a 31-0 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Philly can still secure the division with a loss, but that would take a loss from the Dallas Cowboys, who are facing the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Iyer: "The Eagles got their offensive (and defensive) get-well game against the Raiders. The Commanders' defense struggles in covering wide receivers downfield, power running games, running QBs and tight ends. That's bad news, facing the rediscovered completeness of Philadelphia's offense even at home in Washington."

Bill Bender, AllSportsPeople: Eagles 27, Commanders 17

Bender: "The Eagles had their get-well game in a 31-0 shutout against the Raiders in Week 15. Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby combined for 135 rushing yards. Washington broke an eight-game losing streak in Week 15 – but turnovers remain a problem. It's these teams' first meeting this season."
