Lane Johnson injury update: Eagles star lineman questionable to return with ankle injury image

The Philadelphia Eagles took on the Green Bay Packers in Week 10's "Monday Night Football."

The Eagles are known for having one of the best offensive lines in the league, and that starts with All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson. He has been a foundational piece for the offensive line and protecting quarterback Jalen Hurts. Unfortunately, in the second quarter of the game, Johnson was hit from the side and had his leg rolled up awkwardly. He was able to leave the field and walked to the tunnel to go to the locker room.

Here are the latest updates for Johnson's injury in Week 10 vs. The Packers.

Lane Johnson injury updates

Johnson has been diagnosed with an ankle injury, and the Eagles listed him as questionable to return. While he was described as "gingerly" walking to the locker room, the veteran offensive tackle was shown on the broadcast riding in the cart to the locker room

Johnson didn't come out of the locker room after halftime, but followed shortly after. The offensive lineman had his helmet on and took his place on the Eagles' sideline, but didn't play their first drive of the second half.

Despite not playing for the majority of the second half, Johnson was able to return to the game on a crucial Eagles drive late when they were trying to drain the clock and seal the win.

Philadelphia drafted Johnson with the fourth overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He battled through injuries early in his career, but didn't miss any games until 2017. Johnson's first missed game of his career was due to a concussion that he suffered in Week 5. The Eagles played on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 6, and the offensive tackle was still in concussion protocol.

The Week 10 injury being to his ankle will be nothing new for Johnson. While he has had three concussions in his career, his career has been riddled with ankle injuries. He has had minor sprains, high ankle sprains, and surgery on his ankle.
