The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to be active at the trade deadline, but don't expect the team to deal wide receiver A.J. Brown.

Trade speculation has swirled around Brown this season given the fact that he's clearly not happy with how things have gone on offense. But it remains highly unlikely, at best, that Brown will be moved in 2025.

Meanwhile, general manager Howie Roseman has major fish to fry at both corner and edge rusher, which are undoubtedly the two biggest needs Philly has right now.

When it comes to edge rusher and corner, The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that Howie is indeed in the market for help at both positions. She adds that Brown is not going to get traded.

"The Eagles are in search of help at edge rusher and cornerback. They have received calls on A.J. Brown, and teams are being told, 'We aren’t moving him now,' Russini reported.

The wording there on Brown is interesting.

The Eagles "aren't moving him now," so does that mean trading Brown is on the table in the future? Something to keep in mind for next offseason.

The Eagles' pass-rush was already in bad shape, but things got even worse when Za'Darius Smith unexpectedly retired. The Eagles' pass-rush has been abysmal, as Philadelphia has only mustered up nine sacks through six contests.

At cornerback, there is no sound solution opposite Quinyon Mitchell.

Kelee Ringo and Adoree' Jackson both stink, and it's anyone's guess when Jakorian Bennett will return from injured reserve, and even when he does, there's no guarantee he solves Philly's problem.

With the Eagles gunning for a second-straight Super Bowl, we fully expect Howie and Co. to come away with an addition at both cornerback and edge rusher, and it wouldn't be shocking if the Eagles pull off a blockbuster trade for the latter spot.
