The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl, but one of their stars still wanted to make a change.
A 26-pound change, to be clear.
Defensive tackle Jordan Davis shared with reporters that he is down to 330 pounds, which he says compares favorably to the 356 he played at last season.
“I’m still that Jordan Davis,” Davis told reporters. “I’m still gonna be that anchor. I’m still gonna be that same player. But knowing that with this new weight, I can do a lot more. I can move a lot more on passing reps. I’m gonna be expected to add that. And that’s just what’s been communicated with me from the top down. And honestly, I’m here for it. I’m ready for it. I’m just ready to go.”

Davis, the former No. 13 overall pick out of Georgia, is 6-foot-6. He's a great run presence.
In his career, Davis has 90 tackles through 47 games, with six tackles for loss, including 3.5 sacks.
He's an asset already, but if he is a bit better at getting after the quarterback now, it'll only be a benefit to Philadelphia.
