If you're going to add wide receiver depth, might as well be a guy who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.35 seconds.
That's what the Philadelphia Eagles did on Wednesday.
They signed Ife Adeyi, an undrafted free agent out of Sam Houston State with that aforementioned blazing speed.
The Eagles are a bit shorthanded at OTAs. DeVonta Smith is working out in Florida, and A.J. Brown is only taking part in individual drills.
Adeyi is a little guy, just 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds. He took part in the Eagles' rookie minicamp as a tryout player and has now landed a deal.
He spent six seasons at Sam Houston State.
With the Bearkats, Adeyi had 2,312 yards (164 catches) with 19 touchdowns. He also ran for four touchdowns.
MY GOODNESS. Ife Adeyi is just different 😮💨

Adeyi is a Texas kid, growing up in Mansfield in the Longhorn state. He was a three-star recruit in high school and a track state champion on 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams.
Two of Adeyi's brothers also played Division I football.
Now, he's getting his NFL chance.
