The Philadelphia Eagles avoided a Super Bowl hangover and were repeat NFC East champions. Now they will focus on repeating as Super Bowl champions.

The Eagles hold the No. 3 seed in the NFC going into Week 18. They are behind the same-record Bears, who have the head-to-head victory tiebreaker. They cannot fall to No. 4, with the NFC South champions maxing out at only 9 wins.

Philadelphia won't have home-field advantage or the top seed for the second straight playoffs. They were the No. 2 behind the Lions when they won Super Bowl 59, but hosted and won the NFC championship game when the Lions were upset in the divisional playoffs.

Eagles clinching scenarios

The Eagles can move to the No. 2 seed with a better result than the Bears in Week 18. If the Bears win, everything would remain the same. If the Bears lose or tie against the Lions at home, then the Eagles can jump them to No. 2 with a win over the Commanders.

Philadelphia won the Super Bowl as a non-No. 1 seed last season so it will have great confidence as it tries to repeat from a similar situation.
