Well, the news could be worse for the Philadelphia Eagles and offensive lineman Landon Dickerson.

According to longtime WIP Eagles insider Howard Eskin, the Eagles left guard suffered a meniscus tear in his left knee during the Eagles' team practice on Sunday evening.

Dickerson crumbled to the turf after appearing to suffer an injury to his lower right leg during practice.

Dickerson, 26, is one of the league's best players at his position, as he has been selected to Pro Bowls in three straight seasons. He landed a four-year, $84 million contract in 2024 — the biggest deal for a right guard in league history.

Dickerson has missed just two career starts due to injury after falling to the second round of the 2021 draft because of durability concerns. The Eagles took Dickerson 37th overall in the 2021 draft out of Alabama, knowing that Dickerson had already undergone two ACL surgeries and dealt with ankle injuries, one of which required the tightrope surgery.

He and Jordan Mailata form a massive bulldozing duo on the left side of the Eagles' O-line, which helped pave the way for Saquon Barkley's record-breaking season.

The meniscus injury is likely to keep Dickerson out for an extended period of time, but it may not be season-ending.
