Cardinals' Kyler Murray tried a no-look pass and threw it straight to the Chiefs image

Kyler Murray threw a really bad interception on Saturday night in the Arizona Cardinals' preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

You may very well have seen the clip. It was brutal.

Murray throws the ball straight to a Chiefs defender who isn't within five yards of any Arizona pass catcher. The mind wonders, how in the world? What in the world? Who in the world?

But there may be an explanation, captured by a different broadcast angle.

From the camera behind the end zone, it appears Murray went for a no-look pass.

He's looking right at this camera that captured the throw. Then he throws the ball well to his left, nowhere near where he's looking.

Patrick Mahomes was on the opposite sideline. Maybe Murray was feeling a bit of inspiration.

Probably should've looked where he was throwing before he threw it, in retrospect.

Yikes indeed.

Murray clearly is the franchise quarterback for the Cardinals, but the former No. 1 overall pick hasn't really led them anywhere major yet.

For that to change, he should probably focus on throwing the ball to his own team. Otherwise, the season to come in the challenging NFC West may not be particularly fun.
