The Philadelphia Eagles had every fan hyped to watch their reigning Super Bowl champions take the field Sunday night during open practice, but a devastating injury quickly turned joy into despair.
While Birds fans were excited to see Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and other Philly players return to Lincoln Financial Field for the first time since the NFC Championship Game beatdown of the Washington Commanders, Sunday evening's vibe changed drastically in the blink of an eye.
Eagles starting left guard Landon Dickerson gave the entire stadium a scare after the former Alabama star went down and eventually had to be carted off the field. Meanwhile, his teammates like Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata were seen around him and appeared to be very concerned for their fellow lineman.
Looks like Landon Dickerson will be carted indoors. Reaction from a few other players, including Lane Johnson, not great. Jordan Mailata hanging near Dickerson. https://t.co/jGLNsxg7z0

Last season, Dickerson not only excelled at his role on the line but quickly became one of the top guards in the entire NFL playing alongside stud left tackle Mailata.
If he ends up missing significant time then Philadelphia could be in quite a difficult spot in the middle of their offensive line with less than a month to go until the start of the season.
