The Philadelphia Eagles are in a familiar position entering the offseason.

For the fourth offseason in a row, the Eagles are searching for a new offensive coordinator. The team fired Kevin Patullo after just one season after being eliminated by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs.

Since Nick Sirianni became the head coach in 2021, the team has already had four offensive coordinators and is about to have a fifth. Shane Steichen was in the role for the first two seasons before leaving to be the head coach for the Indianapolis Colts

Brian Johnson was in the role in 2023, and then Kellen Moore was added in 2024. Johnson was fired while Moore left to be the New Orleans Saints head coach.

On Friday, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Eagles are interviewing Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Zac Robinson. Robinson is in limbo right now after the Falcons fired head coach Raheem Morris.

Robinson is a hot commodity though, as a former quarterback and a disciple of Sean McVay. Schefter reported that Robinson has already interviewed for the offensive coordinator jobs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions

Before taking the offensive coordinator in Atlanta, Robinson spent the first five years of his coaching career with the Los Angeles Rams in multiple different roles. In 2025 with the Falcons, Robinson's unit finished 14th in yards per game.

Eagles offense backslid in 2025 season

The Eagles, meanwhile, regressed in several ways in 2025. For starters, elite running back Saquon Barkley and the run game as a whole weren't as impressive. Barkley rushed for over 2,000 yards in 2024 while averaging almost six yards per attempt.

In 2025, however, Barkley ended with 1,140 yards and just 4.1 yards per attempt. The Eagles finished 17th in rushing yards per game in 2025 after finishing second in the category in 2024.

It's clear the team felt like a change was needed if they want to get back to contention in 2026. After winning the Super Bowl a year ago, it was definitely disappointing to be knocked out in the first round in 2025.
