The Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills are going to have to work hard for their yards on Sunday evening.
As the two contenders meet for the first time since November of 2023, they are potentially in for another rough-weather game this time around.
According to RotoWire’s Meteorologist Kevin Roth, the Eagles-Bills battle will feature rough weather, which always has an impact on the game.

“I’m increasingly thinking that it absolutely pours all game,” Roth wrote.
“The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from 1PM Sunday through Monday afternoon, and while that doesn't necessarily mean the heaviest of the rain comes in-game, it does tell us something about the nature of the rain (very, very heavy). High-res models DO show some of the heaviest of that rain during game-time.”
It was noted that projecting the weather more than 24 hours out from kickoff doesn’t set the outcome in stone, but it’s becoming quite clear that there will be difficult weather in some capacity.
For the Eagles and the Bills—two outdoor-playing East Coast teams—difficult winter weather isn’t anything new. In fact, when the two teams met back in 2023, the Eagles and the Bills fought through heavy rain then.
It wasn’t a typical low-scoring battle with the wet conditions, but neither team could find separation through four quarters. The Eagles and the Bills went into overtime, and Philadelphia walked off with a 37-34 victory.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen finished 29-51 with 339 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also had 81 yards and two touchdowns off nine carries on the ground.
As for Jalen Hurts, he completed 18 of 31 passes for 200 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. On the ground, he took on 14 carries for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
The Eagles (10-5) and the Bills (11-4) will kick-off at 4:25 PM ET on Sunday.
