The Dallas Cowboys have become the proverbial punching bag of the NFC East, with just one playoff win since the millennium and no Super Bowl titles in 30 years (and counting).
No rival team is more qualified to mock Jerry Jones and Co. Than the Philadelphia Eagles, who now have four NFC East championships and two Super Bowl banners over the past eight years.
Superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown, however, has surprisingly been a big fan of Dallas’ 2025 offseason.
During a recent discussion with Eagles fans on YouTube, Brown weighed in on the Cowboys’ blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers for star wide receiver George Pickens. How does Brown really feel about Dallas’ new dynamic duo of Pickens and CeeDee Lamb?
“I like that,” Brown said candidly, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “I ain't gonna lie.”
"We're going to have to worry about (Dallas), for sure," Brown added. "We're going to have to worry about them. No, I like the trade. I do like the trade. I like the competition. I like George Pickens, I like CeeDee Lamb. And they collab. It's going to be exciting to watch. Because all that does is bring the best out of us. So, if we know how they coming, we are going to have to step it up."

The Cowboys had to do something bold this offseason, after watching the Eagles and Washington Commanders battle it out in an all-NFC East conference title game last year. Dallas also added former Broncos running back Javonte Williams, and drafted a pair of potential impact players on offense in guard Tyler Booker out of Alabama and versatile playmaking back Jaydon Blue out of Texas.
As for how much Dallas was able to move the needle this offseason, E SPN projection guru Mike Clay predicts Philly to finish first in the NFC East once again (10.3 wins) followed by the Commanders (8.7), Cowboys (7.7) and Giants (6.6).
We’ll find out for real soon enough, as Dallas is scheduled to open the 2025 NFL season against Philly at Lincoln Financial Field on Sept. 4. With superstar talent like Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Brown, Lamb, Pickens, DeVonta Smith (and that’s just on offense) in one arena, fans should be in for a real treat on opening night.
